THE COURT DECISION - THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF TPLF
This is a sad day for Ethiopia. The kangaroo and shameful court has found Kinijit leaders guilty of ridiculous charges.
Kinijit elected and popular leaders of Ethiopia :
- have been asking for peace and dialog even from Kaliti prison
- put in jail for sins they have not committed
- accused of inciting violence for preaching non-violent and peaceful struggle
- held accountable for the death of civilians by the real killers themselves.
- Even being placed under very difficult strains in kaliti prison (some of them even being tortured and physically abused) are not operating in a mode of vengeance and hate.
- are always ready to forgive and start a new beginning in Ethiopia with the ruling party.
- always welcome and are ready to make peace.
They compromised a lot for the sake of peace that they even agreed to let Meles Zenawi rule until 2010, as long as democratic principles are respected.
Kinijit leaders do not hate the WEYANES for they consider their jailers as one of their own brothers, "Ethiopians". Their Politics have always been the politics of Love, civility, respect and Ethiopiawinet. They have never believed that the EPRDF is the enemy. They have always stressed that the EPRDF is and can be part of the solution.
HOWEVER THE EPRDF RULERS HAVE SHOWN THAT THEY ARE LIVING IN THE MIDDLE AGES. THEY HAVE SHOWN WITHOUT ANY AMBIGUITY AND CONTEMPT THAT THE ONLY POLITICS THEY KNOW IS A POLITICS OF HATE, DECEPTION AND BRIBERY.
The founder of TPLF Ato Sebhat Nega said:" KINIJIT is the ENEMY". This is one of many indocations that the TPLF leaders are determined to destroy Kinijit. They have been consistently calling Kinijit leaders “Ametsegnoch” and treasonous. They accuse them of trying to incite genocides.
However, the truth lies somewhere else.
It is the TPLF leaders that must be charged with treason, genocide and violence. Aren’t they the ones who committed GENOCIDE in Somalia? (where more than 300 000 Somalis from Mogadishu were forced to leave, their house flattened ..). Didn’t their puppet OPDO cadres massacre civilians in Arsi, Jimma and Harague? Who killed thousands of Anuak people in Gambella to clean up the region for oil exploration?
It is Ato Meles and his cadres that are responsible for GENOCIDE not Kinijit leaders. They are the one who are soaked with the blood of our people. What Kinijit leaders have done is bring all Ethiopians together. They have brought even armed groups like the ONLF and the ONLF to the dialog. (something that the TPLF could not do in 15 years). They have shown maturity, intelligence and and a twenty first century polictics.
Ethiopia is a landlocked country. As Ato Sebhat had explained to us in various media, the TPLF played very important role for the cessation of Eritrea. They basically gave away Eritrea. If this is not treason which one is ?????
THEY, Meles and his cadres have shown how arrogant and backward they are. They have shown us that they live in the 13th century.
I THINK THE END OF THEIR REIGN HAS ARRIVED. The verdict today is a verdict that put a seal on the end of their time. Their legacies will soon crumble like a house build on sands.
To my fellow Ethiopians I say this: Kinijit belongs to all of us. Let us show these backward rulers in Arat Kilo what the people power is. Let us not loose hope for Kinijit is winning.
The regime spend millions of dollar to divide and destroy Kinijit. They have been aided by foreign powers who do not want a prosperous and democractic Ethiopia. However, they FAILED BIG TIME.
The courageous, united and bold acts of Kinijit leaders are clear indications of the confidence Kinijit leaders and disarray of the EPRDF rulers.
Let all give thanks to God for He has given us such courageous leaders. Let us follow their footsteps and say "NO" once and for all to tyranny. Let us have hope. As a former prisoner of conscious Seblework tadesse write in her blog :

THE SHALEKA FOLKS- ACCPTED KINIJIT INTERNATIONAL
Kinijit is the hope of all Ethiopians. It is the symbol of resistance. With their civilized and peaceful struggles, Kinijit leaders have inspired tens of millions of Ethiopians from all background and ethnic groups.
Unfortunately the efforts of Kinijit in the Diaspora have been very disappointing. The wing that was led by Shaleka Yoseph has been following a policy of going it alone. They had created the impression that Kinijit is divided. They took the people’s money. Hijacked the official website of Kinijit and have been threatening to sue Ethiopians who use the name of “Kinijit” . Their actions and policies were very undemocratic and outrageous.
Two elected members of Kinijit, Dr Bezabeh and Shaleka Admase came from Ethiopian in February and have been tirelessly trying to bring all parties together.
Today a statement has been read on Addis Demtse Radio stating that all groups have come to together. ( Dr Mogues Gebremarian, Ato Andargachew Tsege, Ato Daniel Assefa, Ato Berhane Mewa, Ato Mamu Yehune, Ato Getachew Wanna, Dr Gebreye, Ato Dawit Kebede, Shaleka Yoseph, Dr Almaz Zewdie, Ato Selemon Bekele, Dr Seyoum Selemon)
They decided:
- To unconditionally accept the delegated authority of Kinijit International
- Abide by democratic principles of Kinijit and
- Re-energized the struggle for freedom and democracy in Ethiopia.
Dr Mogues Gebremariam, Shaleka Yoseph Yazew, Dr Bezabeh and Shaleka Melaku Admasse all expressed in an interview on Addis Demtse that it is a new day for KINIJIT.
Shaleka Yoseph affirmed that a clear and unambiguous message has come from Kaliti and there will be no turning back.
Dr Mogues said that if someone decides to live in the future, it would be considered as an individual action. It will not be taken as a division of Kinijit for people has the right to go.
For so long Ethiopians were demoralized and bleeding from the inside because of the gridlock in Kinijit Diaspora leadership. I believe this is an answer to our prayer. It is good news for all Kinijit supporters and a day of mourning for those who wish the demise of Kinijit.
Some may be bitter by the action of some officials from KIL. However, there need to be always a choice of redemption. I think it is time to look beyond. Despite our personal bitterness, let us show respect to Kaliti leaders for this is happening per their instruction. let us give Shaleka Yoseph and his friends a chance to undo what they did.
Kinijit is The way !
